Pegasus Emergency Group is more than a company. Pegasus is a concept—a concept for excellence, founded on superior medical practice, commitment to customer satisfaction, the transformation of shift workers into owners and profit-sharers, and forging successful business alliances with our medical communities.
We are different from the competition.
Pegasus is a management company—not an outsourcer plugging physicians into a schedule. Health care is a special business-a trust that requires honor and wisdom, as well as medical knowledge. We are not providing or servicing widgets. We always want to achieve the best outcomes for our patients.
Established in 1996, Pegasus manages Emergency Departments in New Jersey, New York, Alabama, Wyoming, Missouri and New Mexico. We are proud that our departments are regional leaders in Emergency Medicine.
How have we succeeded where competitors have stumbled?
1. Pegasus recruits and retains superior departmental directors, physicians and mid-level providers.
2. We focus on decreasing length of stay, eliminating walkouts and other objective measures of quality.
3. We incentivize our doctors to deliver consist high quality by transforming them from shift workers into owners. Owners care more than employees.
4. Our doctors are working for an Emergency Medicine practice rooted in the community where they work. They are not working for a distant corporation.
5. Pegasus does not retain providers who do not meet our high standards.
When patients have an emergency, they deserve to be treated by an experienced and dedicated emergency physician. They expect superior diagnostic skills, rapid resolution of pain and anxiety, education about their conditions, and respectful treatment. Pegasus Emergency Group’s customer satisfaction scores reflect our physicians’ superior practice of Emergency Medicine. Our goal is to develop Pegasus as the brand in Emergency Medicine that patients as well as hospitals associate with the highest quality care.
