Kent Taub, MD, FACEP

Dr. Taub is a residency trained and board certified emergency physician from the great state of Texas. He specializes in Emergency Department Administration, Standing Delegated Order creation, Point of Care Testing implementation, and he offers many creative solutions for ED overcrowding and improvement in patient flow.

Dr. Taub has also been instrumental in the creation of a JCAHO Certified Stroke Program and the Society of Chest Pain Centers fully accredited Chest Pain Unit with Percutaneous Coronary Intervention capabilities at the John Peter Smith Health Network, in Fort Worth, TX, where he was Chairman and Medical Director of the Department of Emergency Medicine. In addition, he was Medical Director of the Stroke Program and Co-Medical Director of the Chest Pain Unit. Dr. Taub was also Medical Director for the Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner program at JPS.

On occasion, he serves as a Ship's Physician for Holland America Cruise Line.

He received his Bachelor's of Arts at Rice University in Houston and his Doctor of Medicine degree at the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, Texas. He completed his Transitional Internship year at John Peter Smith Health Network and his Residency in Emergency Medicine at the Texas Tech Health Sciences Center in El Paso, Texas.

He has a wife and four wonderful children, two dogs, a cat, and a salt water aquarium which occupy the majority of his free time. In his spare time, he loves to play ice hockey and watch movies.
