Dr. Ashar serves as Interim Medical Director of the Medical Center Enterprise Emergency Department. He joined Pegasus Emergency Group in 2008 to serve as Assistant Director at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, Alabama, and currently serves as Medical Director at Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Alabama.
Dr. Ashar received his Medical Degree from the University of Maryland, School of Medicine. He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency and Ultrasound Fellowship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, NY. He is Board Certified in Emergency Medicine and a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. Dr. Ashar has published papers regarding Emergency Ultrasound and has taught numerous Emergency Ultrasound courses both in the States and abroad.
