Neil Schamban

Chief Medical Officer

Dr. Neil Schamban is a residency-trained, board-certified Emergency Physician with over twelve years experience in Emergency Medicine. Dr. Schamban joined Pegasus in 2008 after serving at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in Newark, New Jersey as Division Chair of Emergency Medicine and the Director of Pediatric Emergency Medicine. He currently serves as Medical Director at Cullman Regional Medical Center in Cullman, Alabama.

Dr. Schamban is certified as a Diplomate by the American Board of Emergency Medicine for both Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Medicine and is a member and Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians. Over the last twelve years Dr. Schamban has served on the boards of the Connecticut and New Jersey Colleges of Emergency Physicians, as well as serving in ACEP on a national level. He holds the rank of Associate Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine and has been involved extensively in ED redesign, process improvement and bedside ED ultrasound implementation.

Dr. Schamban completed his Internship and Residency in Emergency Medicine at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine in Farmington, CT and a Fellowship in Pediatric Emergency Medicine at Boston Children's Medical Center, Harvard Medical School. Dr. Schamban earned his Doctorate of Medicine from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA.
