Tom Ashar

Dr. Ashar's roles on the executive team encompass ultrasound education, contract acquisition, and physician recruiting.
Dr. Ashar currently serves as Medical Director of Coosa Valley Medical Center in Sylacauga, Alabama. He joined Pegasus in 2008 as Assistant Director at Cullman Regional Medical Center's Emergency Department in Cullman, Alabama, and previously served as Director of Emergency Ultrasound at Newark Beth Israel Hospital in Newark, New Jersey.
He completed his Emergency Medicine Residency and Ultrasound Fellowship at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, and received his medical degree from the University of Maryland School of Medicine. He is a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and has published papers regarding Emergency Ultrasound.
