Patients

Textbook cases of quality emergency care.

Finger Lakes Medical Care Center

Auburn, NY

Affiliated with Auburn Memorial Hospital, Finger Lakes Medical Care Center provides treatment of patients suffering from non-emergent conditions which require medical care when the services of their family physicians are not available, the patient doesn't prefer a private physician or they are unable to secure a private physician.

Services include prompt, convenient, quality non emergency room care seven days a week for minor medical needs, lab and port draws, X-rays.

Patients can either call for an appointment or walk-in. Walk-in patients are on a first come, first served basis. When a patient arrives, they will be signed in at the registration desk and as rooms become available, they will be taken to a treatment area for an evaluation by an RN, then see the doctor. If the number of walk ins becomes overwhelming and unsafe then no further walk-ins will be accepted. Appropriate tests will be ordered. The doctor/clinic will re-evaluate if needed but every effort will be made for patients to follow up with their own physician first. If the patient doesn't have a primary care physician, the oncall medical staff will help establish one. The patient will then be discharged by an RN and asked to stop at the registration desk to make a payment and/or provide insurance information.
